Hi! I´ve been using RTTR a couple of times but now I only have 1fps in game.
The main menu is so laggy it's very difficult so even navigate.

Tried updating drivers, using the latest version of RTTR.

Im using Settlers 2 - Gold edition via GoG on win10.
Nvidia 1080ti with latest drivers.


Normal Settlers 2 works great.

Well, sadly this must be a driver problem of some sort. Are you using SDL or WinAPI in RttR? Do you use vertex buffer objects?

Im sorry I don't really know what that means.
It's a Geforce Nvidia 1080 ti graphics card with latest drivers.

I start RTTR with s25client.exe, tried with rttr.bat but it won't start.

Don't know if its using SDL or WinAPI. How can I see that? And how do I change to see if one or the other works better?

I managed to get inside the option menu and saw that FPS limit was on dynamic. I changed to to 60 fps and that solved it!
Had no idéa that the limiter existed.

Thank you man, now I can play RTTR again ^^

thanks for the solution. But I have to do it for every start of the game.

I will test the nvidia driver settings later, maybe some options are the culprit here.

Hi, please check if vsync is on (turn it off), this can also cause issues on some setups
