Hallo,

Als erstes möchte ich sagen, dass ich diese Initiative wirklich super finde. Habe das Spiel auch schon auf meinem Windows PC
installiert.
Nun wollte ich das Spiel auf meinen Mac installieren, da es nicht allzu leistungshungrig ist und dennoch verdammt viel Spaß
macht :D. Leider komm ich mit der Installation nicht weiter, wenn ich den S2 Client öffne kommt ein schwarzes Terminal und
dort steht, dass man die beiden Ordner "GFX" und "DATA" in den entsprechenden Ordner oder die CD einlegen soll.
Habe beides probiert, jedoch passiert bei mir nichts wenn ich "Enter" drücke um den Vorgang fortzusetzen, es erscheint nur
wieder derselbe Text.

Ich habe das Betriebssystem: MacOSx Version 10.8.3

Now it works, thank you very much !

There is only one more problem, the first time the game started without problems, but later when i tried it a second time it did
not work anymore. The s25Client appears in the dock, but then it close down immediately after a few seconds, without starting
the terminal.

I hope you can help me a second time.

Well, I'm really sorry, I have no idea because I'm not using MAC and have absolutely no idea how everything
works on MAC.

However I just heard, that someone also had some problems running the game - he reinstalled everything or
well, only the files (original s2 files I think) because they seem to be currupted.

I know this is quite an old post, but just in case someone stumbles across this, looking for an answer. I had the same problem and fixed it by just copying  the s25client.app into my
applications folder.

Having a big trouble playing longer than a couple of minutes, before it crashes "trap 6" error code. Tried single player and with local game with my two brothers,
same problem after 2-3 minutes we get kicked out.

Tried with nightly version as well, and cant even open the game "decompression failed: download failure?"

I have Mac OS X.

Same problem for me, I can play for 5-10 minutes, and then it crashes... Tried to remove autosave as well, without any luck. Mac OS X.

well, can you both look into /Users/.../Library/Return To The Roots/LOGS and send us (=>github) the latest log file (should be the one with the crash) + the corresponding replay (from the REPLAY directory) perhaps we find out what crashed

Ich habe das selbe Problem: Das Programm schließt sich nach einigen Minuten, mir werden die selben Fehler angezeigt, allerdings mit der Nightly. Die stable Version startet
erst gar nicht.

Wäre super, wenn jemand die Lösung hätte.

It seems that the Mac version has some serious problems that are not reproducible on windows. See the related issue on github: https://github.com/Return-To-The-Roots/s25client/issues/333

Short: As we cannot reproduce it we rely on input from Mac owners. If anyone could build RTTR from source on the Mac and test this, he would get a meaningful backtrace (function names and codelines where the bad things happened) See the github for instructions and/or get some help in IRC or at github (as last resort). Currently there is no developer with a Mac, so we need someone to go through this :/
