Sorry for the "SPAM", but I do not understand the German language, I do not know where is the FAQ, etc. I tried to translate your language using "google translate", but badly translated (I can only guess).

1) Ideas.
a) I noticed in the forum discussions on boats - I think that the game needs a universal vessel that will be moved troops and materials. One request - no war ships

b) trade / market - I think in the game should be a market where I can sell and buy different types of materials. This change will create new tactics and improved economic situation. how many times you hadnt gold mines, and the opponent had a lot of gold? how many times you wanted to get coal from an ally? The solution is: make a trade between the players and the market!

c) Accelerated production of soldiers. I played 3 hours with friends and we didnt have troops to attack because all sat in the castle. Even if I had 10 soldiers is not enough to destroy a major base. I understand that I need to have raw materials for the soldiers but the procedure is too slow... The result? Mass production of catapults, a tactic is very effective:)

d) self-control soldiers who can go the castle. I do not like when the castle (a castle near the border) has a low-ranking soldiers. I have to urge everyone to the store and just ask them to return to the castles. Then the castle sits higher-ranking soldiers, but it takes a long time (the opponent can use it to victory).

e) the last idea: I should choose the soldiers, who move on to attack the enemy castle (the castle only at the border) from almost any part of my country. The current battle system in the game is bad. Change it!

the distance between the tower and the castle which is on the right is 10km. It can not attack because it is too far. However, the castle which is at the bottom, it can attack the tower because the distance is 5km. What's happening? Defenders of the tower travel 15km to face the invaders of the lower castle. Sic! and the best is that, the yellow tower cant attack at the bottom castle :)

The castle cant attack the enemy castle (they are too far). I cant build a tower at the border, because if a soldier comes to the tower, then catapult to throw a stone. "black zone" ... what i have to do? (its one possible path :) )

Storehouse is located not far from the tower, which is located not far from the border :)
I commanded the soldiers to guard the borders, but they go somewhere else! Next i have to order my soldiers to watch Storehouse (around the building) then the soldiers went to tower near border. Bad system, because when I fight in the big areas, then make chaos ...

The trading I support but the market not, it changes the game in very... strange way, not settler 2 like, just if the market is for swapping^^ not buing "ghost" wares.

I have no problems Producing materials and Destroying Catapults and later the number of allowed catapults could be changed so maybe the maximum is 5 an then it's an ineffektiv tactic.

That's what tactic means in S2, if you change it, defending would be much to easy...

I think not so, its the S2 battle system! DON'T change it, because then you have an other gameplay and game.

that i do not really understand... but maybe you need to kill some roads that the soldiers you have go to the borders and buildings you want them, thats s2 tactics system  ;) just learn it

What I do when the opponent had a lot of gold, iron and coal, and I have zero gold? My province wasnt gold, but (for example) only coal (I am the loser from the start  :cry: ). Maybe it was a badly designed map ...

That's what tactic means in S2, if you change it, defending would be much to easy...


In my opinion, the castle / tower etc. should have a "bar" where I can chose the weak or strong soldiers to the building.

I couldnt build a tower / castle at the border, because there was no area for the construction. The effect that the castle didnt increase my border to destroy the catapults.  Maybe it was a badly designed map... again?

I start from the beginning ... If I increase the bar "border", most troops will be in my castle on the borders of my country. If I increase the bar "interior", the soldiers will occupy the store and headquartes and all the castles / towers around. (I can be wrong, but I noticed that the "interior" is related to the storehouse / headquartes. If you increase the bar "interior", the soldiers didnt go in the center of the country, but only to headquartes or magazine - I noticed this in my game. (for example) I had two away from each store at the border. I commanded the soldiers to guard the province of the measure, but all returned to the stores ... now do you understand, what I mean?)

Bad opponent i think... bad strategie... works never if no attack happens...

Next question:
a) Will it be possible to change the map when the game is already established ?
b) Will it be possible to change the location on the map? Change places with players?
c) when the main server will work? I still get information, "connection failed"
d) will you add new options for better graphics? (for example anti-aliasing :wink: )
e) in the future, the races will be something different in the economy or the military? or just always the only difference is the graphics?

It works allready (but not player 1) just close other strating points and then let the player, you wish to be there, join and so on to the point you are happy with the starting points.

The bitmaps are very smal, i don't know but i don't think that that would work? a 10x10 graphic with anti aliasing? maybe, ask flo or oli, but i think no.

It's planned to change the ballance but then just as "gamemode" and it's diskussed allready a bit in the Forum.

i think/hope it will, but the question is just when ;) it needs time, look, in 0.1 there were just the "normal" roads, no catapults, no FoW etc you have to wait for the "new" things" ;)

I finished the translation of the Polish language. I looked the whole translation and fixed bugs. I would like to know when the updated translation is available in the game? :D.  Btw. How many people is helping to develop the game Settlers II.5, not including the Germans?

I have a problem, yesterday I checked the translation into Polish. And today I am looking and I can see very nonsenses! (4 untranslated words! - yesterday I translated everything!). For example "Back". I didn't modify it! but was changed! I wasn't drunk or zonked. Lanuchpad showed me, that I had changed the word! and it isn't a truth! What's going on? :/

I'm not angry, but I will have to again look for errors in the Polish translation. Tonight I'll do this, and I download the PO file. (In the future, as something bad happens, I can restore my Polish translation.)

EDIT:I don't assure that my translation is correct! I tried best to translate everything. I compared my translation with Settlers 2 Gold Edition PL! They are almost identical! (but there are exceptions). As a result, this game S2.5 RTTR in PL, has the magic of 1996 from the Polish version! :) <-- I hope that you know what I mean :P

I have a question about visual graphics. I know that you want to keep everything good with the "settlers 2". However, in the future you want to change the graphics of buildings, units, etc. for a better quality? I think that should be the choice of options: oldsql or newstyle. Oldsql everything as now, the old graphics, etc. Newstyle, refresh version of the game. The beautiful new main menu, pretty water, the units and buildings in the old layout, with better graphics, etc., or I think, that also a good idea (probably better) is so-called "theme graphics" then We could choose different themes, etc. created by the community. :)

The question is not related to the previous question: race in the game is no different (you don't have to think about the balance between the races). Maybe will you add new races in the game? , for example, Indians, Egyptians, trojans, Sparta: D. More races, more fun :).

If you want a complete new graphics theme, I think you're at the wrong place because that's not the aim of this game (take a look at Widelands instead). I doubt that anybody can create better graphics, at least the whole animations, carriers etc. Maybe the GUI could be improved a bit like an animated main menu or something.

Most words have been discarded (or saved as a "suggestion"), and again I have to watch the whole translation in Launchpad for errors (for sure there are small errors, for example, is missing ":", etc.).     Tonight I improved all the errors in the translation (this time) in Launchpad.
